Wine Gift To Your Sweetheart

In any situation, gifting with Wine can do miracles on the recipient and the presenter alike. Because, Wine is not just a beverage; not a soft drink; not a snack; not a food; not a gulp-in-a-jiffy solution and not even a Liquor! Wine is - IS - a way of presenting your heart to your near-heart! Romance, Love, Admiration, Praise and Remembrance cannot be simply verbalized; but very easily 'Wined!'.
THE SELECTION
Each vineyard is unique on its own. Each wine is unique on its own, because, no wine can be mass-produced in a day or two. The older the processing or curing period, the older the vineyard and the older the winemaker and his traditional family winery, the better. So select the best Wine for your Best Half.
THE TIMING
Wine cannot be given away every day as a common grocery. Your spouse’s birthday, your marriage anniversary or your best friend's birthday or his anniversary and the like are the best qualifiers for a Wine Gift.
THE PRESENTATION
You cannot simply take a wine cask and pour out a quantity into a cup and give. When PRESENTED by a true Wine Love ceremonially just like the Japanese Tea-ceremony, the Wine sinks deep into the heart of the recipient. Just as the phrase 'Wine Is Blood' goes, you can win all by the sheer presentation.
THE PLAN FOR THE WINE PRESENTATION
You cannot purchase a Wine Bottle over the counter if you are a True Wine Lover. Your family over the generations must be nurturing the habit of curing the Wine caskets in the cellar. Take the Wine bottle that probably was stocked by your Grandfather. Not by hand straightly. Wrap a soft towel to preserve the body heat of the bottle. Place it in the Wine basket still wrapped. Do not take it away from the cellar until up to the moment you both savor it.
Meanwhile, prepare accompaniments. The best cashew nuts just roasted go right with The Wine. Crisp peppered chips also. Select a secluded spot in your family dining room. Early night time fits well. Arrange a large table with the most delicate pink silk cloth. Set pink roses in delicate pink floral vases. Float, if you can, very gentle Rose 'Attar' (Rose extract perfume) through concealed evaporators from the corners. Float very soft favorite music through an invisible audio system in a whispering female voice. Set just -ONLY JUST- two pink cushioned armless chairs side by side. Get rid of all other furniture out of the room. Never use bright electric light in the presentation room. Light up a favorite number of medium height candles -of course PINK!- on the table (no where else). Mark the exact time of the occasion.
Call in your spouse and seat her gently, at least ten minutes ahead of The Time. Arrange the accompaniments well on the table. Don’t ever disclose the name of the present to be delivered yet. The most suspense makes the best presentation. Let her soak the setting into her heart.
Go to the cellar. Without touching the bottle, bring it to the table on the most delicate crystal plate. Call her by her intimate name softly and 'PRESENT' The Wine exactly at The Time. Then, only then, join her. Make sure its her own time if its her birthday. That's it! You can both pour The Wine out into small crystal glasses, and sip the tiniest amount just like a Wine Master. Rotate each sip in your mouth. Don’t ever swallow the sip so soon. Savor the texture, taste, strength, mix, body, fragrance, sweetness and the very Soul of this Wine. Your Spouse may even take an oath to declare that this is the best moment in her life with you.
This is not a just a plan or suggestion for a Wine Gift. This is what I have been ceremoniously doing ever since 1985 for my Most Better Half. I stop dead on the spot from any-ANY-work at hand and return home the day before for this vital occasion. This is how the Romance between us, just like between our parents and grand parents, REMAINS juicy always.
