Victorian Wine And Cheese Basket

by Alexandra
(Romania)

My ideal wine and cheese gift basket must have at least 2 bottles of wine, like a pinot noir and cabernet, both dry, from Romania actually, ‘cause I think that in this country the wine is made with love and passion and that’s what a real good wine needs to be perfect, like Murfatlar.

The basket should be red with dots, to create the old Victorian atmosphere. There must be some good old cheese from France of course, like camembert or beaufort. And I think that some roses will be great, and two perfect wine glasses, some cheese cookies, some vanilla and maybe some dry fish. Lots of grapes, some comfits and maybe some chocolate, just because that is a must have when you’re preparing a gift for someone.

After that you have to be sure that all the colours mix perfectly, in a red and burgundy or even brown shade. The name of this basket should be “Victorian Nightshade”, because of all the combinations made, and the colours of course. Or maybe the “Victorian Rose”, I cannot decide , I like them both.
