Thoughtful Wine Country Gift Basket

by anonymous

If someone was going to be kind enough to send me a country wine basket, I would love for it to contain two inexpensive bottles of wine; I would like one of the wines to be a nice white wine and I would want the other bottle to be a blush. I do not think that it is necessary to spend an elaborate amount of money on wine in these difficult economic times. I am a thrifty person and I think that along with the two bottles of wine, it would be nice to include a corkscrew as well as some edible items like crackers, non-perishable cheese, and maybe a packaged meat from Hickory Farms. A nice addition would be a condiment such as Dijon mustard.

If room permits, it would be nice to also have two inexpensive wine glasses included, but packed carefully as not to break. The basket should be such that I would want to use it for another purpose instead of a basket that is of such poor quality, it would be thrown away. And of course, a lovely card included with a beautiful grape graphic of some kind announcing the bearer of the gift! I would call the basket, “Wine all Mine.”
