Taste Of France Gift Basket

by anonymous submission

The ideal holiday wine gift basket need not be something expensive or extravagant. My ideal basket would be a little taste of France. It would consist of a very simple Burgundy, or perhaps an amazing chardonnay. As for which variety, that is up to you!

It would also include several varieties of French-style artisan cheeses. The cheeses would consist of a brie, a delicious smoked Gouda and a really nice French goat cheese. I would include some simple soda crackers as well, and perhaps a lovely smoked summer sausage to give it a nice, rustic feel.

I would call the basket "Provence in a Box" after the beautiful region of Southern France that inspired the basket. With this simple yet elegant basket, you could make a big impression with a little effort. The cost would be very affordable at around $50 and a little bit of creative wrapping. The perfect accent would be a red, white and blue bow to represent both the USA and the nation of France, but this would be totally optional. The sky is the limit when it comes to this basket design!
