Summer Wine Country Picnic

I would name my ideal wine picnic basket for two "Summer in the Country". It would start with a large wicker basket. It would be lined with a pretty vintage floral cotton fabric, and the matching picnic blanket would be reminiscent of a soft, cotton sheet dancing on a clothes line in a light summer breeze.
Inside the basket, packed securely, would be lovely white china trimmed with a rim of casual green flowers and two wine glasses. There would be country-patterned stainless steel silverware, including cheese and butter knives. The basket would include a hardwood cutting board, a stainless steel cork screw, and a set of crisp white salt and pepper shakers.
The wine would be a simple sweet white wine, a Riesling or a Sauvignon Blanc perhaps. The basket would be packed with a variety of crust-less sandwiches. There would be a small sampling of two or three different cheeses, ready to be cut and enjoyed.
For dessert there would be freshly baked biscuits or croissants ready to pair with fresh strawberries and whipped cream or a simple smearing of butter. Overall, it would be a light, summery, breezy sort of basket for the perfect summer picnic in wine country.
