Visiting the Sonoma Carneros Wineries
Plan your California wine tasting excursion in the Sonoma Carneros region with this information on tours, tasting room hours, picnic areas and more.

The Carneros wine region has a Napa side and a Sonoma side. The Sonoma Carneros area is south of the town of Sonoma at the southern end of the Sonoma Valley. To reach most of the wineries in this region, go north on Highway 121 (Arnold Drive) from Highway 37, which goes east to Vallejo and west to Novato and Highway 101. Viansa Winery, Cline Cellars and Gloria Ferrar Champagne Cellars are along this route (Hwy 121). Highway 121 breaks off of Arnold Drive and goes east on what is called the Carneros Highway, Highway 12 and Highway 121 combined (for a stretch). More wineries are in this area. Somewhere after Napa Road, it becomes the Napa Carneros region, which also has many fine wineries and vineyards to visit.
