Simply Elegant Wine Picnic Basket

My ideal Wine Picnic Basket would be… “A Kiss of Simple Elegance”. I have dreamed of this basket, a medium sized plain Rattan basket, with a leather shoulder carrying strap. Large enough for a bottle of fine, slightly sweet red wine.

I would wrap it in two lovely Burgundy napkins tied with dark green ribbon. I would have two, simple, 8” white plates. Two wine glasses with burgundy and green ribbon tied at the bottom of each glass. Also inside would be a wooden spreading knife tied with matching ribbon and a sample of grape and strawberry jam, to be spread on angle cut pieces from a small loaf of French bread.

I would have a small brick of cheddar, mild and sharp as well as a buttery cheese or port wine cheese to complement the wine! I would have a dark green light weight blanket, to lie on the ground. And two, half open silk red roses also tied with green and burgundy ribbon! This would be my ideal "lay under the clouds and relax with my loved one", wine picnic basket!
