This wine country is only about an hour’s drive from Washington DC, which makes for the perfect day trip. The following wineries are considered part of the Shenandoah Valley Wine Trail of Virginia. They are all open to the public for wine tasting and some of them have tours as well. Most are found along Interstate 81.
