Oregon Wineries of the Rogue Valley

This tasting room information will help you plan your Rogue Valley wine tour in Southern Oregon. You'll find locations of the wineries and hours they are open to the public.

The southernmost and warmest of Oregon's wine regions, the Rogue Valley wine country includes the Applegate Valley, the Bear Creek Valley and the Illinois Valley. They each have a namesake river which flows north towards the Rogue River, which flows east to west. To the south lies the California border.

Furthest east is the Bear Creek Valley, along the Interstate 5. It is also the warmest of the three areas and gets the least rainfall. This includes wineries in Medford and Ashland.

The Applegate Valley, which is now its own designated AVA, is located just south of Grants Pass and west of Bear Creek Valley. It includes wineries in the Grants Pass and Jacksonville areas.

The westernmost part of this wine region is the Illinois Valley, which is also the coolest. It's at a higher elevation with forests and coastal breezes. This area includes wineries around Cave Junction off of Highway 199.

For your Rogue Valley wine tasting tour, it is advisable to pick one of the three smaller valleys to visit per day.
