Cheesy Holiday Gift Basket

by Anonymous

My ideal holiday wine basket would contain two nice bottles of red wine. They should be different varieties, maybe a Cabernet and a Malbec, preferably from somewhere in South America or South Africa. To compliment them I'd like to have:

A small pack of crackers, lightly salted or otherwise plain flavoured.

Two pretty jars of delicious jams or jellies. One should have a strong flavour, like chili and ginger, and the other should be mild and subtle, like a redcurrant jelly. The jars should be rather small, although not tiny, and tastefully decorated with some plaid fabric across the lid and maybe little bows or something else old fashioned and cozy.

Two or three different cheese brands that go well with wine and cheese. Perhaps a nice and runny camembert, and a good brie and then some lovely blue cheese as well.

As a finishing touch, a bunch of fresh grapes would be nice. Plump green grapes that contrast beautifully with the dark color of the bottles and make the whole look pop a bit more.
