The Heart of Virginia Wine Trail and The Monticello Wine TrailThe following Central Va Wineries, whether on the Heart of Virginia Wine Trail, Monticello Wine Trail, or neither, are all part of the Central Wine Region of Virginia. They are all open to the public for wine tasting and some of them for tours as well. Each listing provides information on tasting room hours, location, whether any tours are offered and other features.
The first five central Va wineries are considered part of the Heart of Virginia Wine Trail. This trail also includes two wineries in the Eastern Region of Virginia.

The Monticello Viticultural Area includes Charlottesville and surrounds Thomas Jefferson's Monticello estate. This central Va wineries area has the largest concentration of farm wineries in Virginia.
